Van den Ende-Gupta syndrome is described as an inherited disease with recessive trait in Fox Terriers. The disease is characterized by symptoms similar to those found in craniomadibular osteopathy (CMO). All affected dogs exhibit a prominent underbite with short maxilla. Additionally, bones are often not mineralized and luxation of the elbow or patella as well as swollen knee joints can be found regularly.
