Basic principles

LABOGEN appreciates your visit to our website and your interest in our company and our products. We are serious about protecting your private data and aim for trusting cooperation when visiting our internet site. Our compliance with legal data protection requirements is a matter of course. Our employees are sworn to data secrecy and are regularly trained in the areas of data protection and data security.

We use the data you provide us with to fulfil and complete your order. Below, we would like to briefly show you how we protect your data and what you get from using our online offers.

Access data

When you access our internet pages, LABOGEN receives access data which are saved for back-up purposes and generally enable identification:

  • The name of your internet service provider
  • The country you are from
  • The website from which you are visiting us
  • The search term if you arrived at our site via a search engine
  • The internet pages of that you are visiting on our site
  • The user tool (web browser, operating system) you used for access
  • Files that you downloaded from our website (e.g. PDF or Word documents)
  • The duration
  • The date and time of your visit 

This data is evaluated by LABOGEN to discover and evaluate user behaviour. This does not involve a personal evaluation.

Personal data

Personal data is information that is explicitly used to determine your identity. This includes information such as your name, postal address or email address. We only save personal data in addition to the access data if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example during registration, in a survey, a drawing, a contact request, subscription to a newsletter or to fulfil an online order. In addition, personal data is only used to the extent necessary and only for the legally permitted purpose you agreed to. LABOGEN uses encryption methods to securely transfer your data in secure areas. This means that communication between your browser and our ordering system, for instance cannot be read by others on the internet. All data is stored exclusively on LABOGEN's specially protected servers in Germany. 

Transmission of personal data to third parties

LABOGEN also provides its services in collaboration with selected partners. They are subject to the same strict data protection regulations and are also included in LABOGEN's data protection policy. Personal data is only transmitted for the processing of order data, e.g. online orders in individual cases, if you have previously given your consent.

LABOGEN does not pass on other information to third parties, such as information about areas of interest provided voluntarily. Personal data is only transmitted to government institutions and authorities in the context of legal or court obligations. 

Cancellation right

According to the German Federal Data Protection Act, you are entitled to obtain information about your saved data and to correct, block or delete this data, free of charge. If you have registered as a user, we also allow you to see the data yourself and delete or change it if necessary. 


Cookies are small text files used by many websites around the world and in Germany. Cookies are created during your visit to our website and are stored on your hard drive by our server. Our cookies do not contain any personal information. Cookies stored by our servers can also only be read by us and not by any third-party website. Most browsers are set up to accept cookies automatically. If you prefer not to have the advantages of cookies, you can deactivate this function in your browser. To do so, please note the individual settings available in your browser. Of course you can view our website without cookies as well. However, this can limit some of the functions in our offers. 

Other active content (e.g. JavaScript, ActiveX)

For security reasons, you can use your browser to deactivate JavaScript, ActiveX or other control elements and script languages on internet pages containing executing elements at any time. You can still browse our internet pages without JavaScript. 


Some of the LABOGEN internet pages contain links to other internet pages. We make reasonable efforts to check these links. LABOGEN is not responsible for the content of internet pages that we link to. LABOGEN is also not responsible for the content of internet pages that link to us. 

Use of data when subscribing to the email newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data needed for this or separately provided by you to periodically send you our email newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact listed below or by using the link provided for this in the newsletter. 

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files that are saved on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information obtained via the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be abbreviated by Google within the EU Member States or other countries party to the European Economic Area Agreement. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to generate reports about website activities and to provide the website operator with other services related to website use and internet use.

The IP address that your browser transmits in the context of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google. You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser software accordingly; however, if you do so please be advised that you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website.
